Quickly establishing herself as one of India’s top wig makers, Sonam has honed her craft under Barbara Burrows (Eastbourne Wig Academy) and Alex Rouse Wig Company. She has also learned facial hairpiece-making at Sarah Weatherburn & Co. in London and has significant hairdressing, cut, and color experience.

Her passion for character building often leads her to collaborate with actors like Bhumi Pednekar, Anushka Sharma, Akshay Kumar, Mammootty, and Vicky Kaushal. She has also designed wigs for films like Gold, Mammagam, and Guilty. Sonam’s commercial client list includes brands like Mango, Kenzo, Paloma Wool, Saloni Lodha, Tarun Tahiliani, Anita Dongre, and Pero, as well as hair brands like Kerastase and Garnier. She has also contributed to covers and stories for editorials with Vogue, Elle, Dirty, BOF, and The Nod. Sonam is currently exploring working with hair as a living material and experimenting with weaving it into tales of femininity, expression, and forgotten myths of power.
